LUBBOCK, Texas - Former Texas Tech All-American Jason Young will open competition in London at the 2012 Olympics in the men's discus throw early Monday morning.
Fans who would like to watch Young live can do so via a live online stream provided by NBC. Monday's qualifying round of the men's discus begins at 4 a.m. (CT).
During his decorated career at Texas Tech, Young was a two time All-American and the 2004 NCAA Runner Up. After finishing third at the U.S. Trials in Eugene, he became the first Red Raider to qualify for the U.S. team since Jonathan Johnson qualified in the 800-meter run in 2004.
