TEXAS TECH
- Improves to 12-7 overall and to 10-2 at home this season.
- Improves to 4-2 in midweek games this season.
- Improves all-time record to 1,487-1,174-8 (64th season).
- Improves all-time home record to 966-457-5.
- Improves to 7-3 during the month of March... The last time Texas Tech started the month of March with seven wins in its first 10 games was 2006 (7-3).
- Has won five of its last six and seven of its last nine games overall.
- Recorded its fifth shutout of the season... Red Raiders had three shutouts in all of last season (55 games).
- Marks the first time since 1993 with five shutouts through the first 19 games of the season... The Red Raiders in 1993 tallied five shutouts in its first 14 games.
- Has allowed one run or fewer in nine of 19 games played this season.
- Has allowed one run or fewer in eight of 12 HOME games played this season.
- Did not commit an error for the fourth consecutive game... It marks the most consecutive games without committing an error since 2010 (April 17-23).
- Hasn't made an error in 45 consecutive innings (3/9-3/13).
- Position players (non-pitchers) have gone 57 consecutive innings without making an error (2 errors during streak were by pitchers).
- Marks nine games this season without committing an error.
- Is now fielding .986 (7 errors) in 12 home games this season.
- Defense turned two double plays giving the team 25 on the season... ranks second in the nation (Mississippi State - 26) in defensive double plays.
- Pitching staff recorded 14 strikeouts - marks the sixth time this season with at least 10 in a game... Pitching staff had just four 10+ strikeout games in 2012.
- Didn't allow a home run, marking nine of the last 10 games having not allowed a long ball.
- Hasn't allowed a home run in 14-of-19 games this season.
- Marked the third time this season the pitching staff didn't allow an extra-base hit.

UTAH VALLEY ALL-TIME SERIES
- Improved to 3-0 all-time against Utah Valley and also to 3-0 versus the Wolverines in games played in Lubbock... the first and only other meeting all-time between these two programs came in 2011 also in Lubbock when the Red Raiders defeated the Wolverines, 6-2, on February 19, 2011.
RHP COREY TAYLOR (W, 7.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 12 SO - 102 PITCHES)
- Made his eighth appearance and third start of the season.
- Became the fourth Red Raider this year with 10 or more strikeouts in a game (Moreno, Masek, Drozd)... 12 strikeouts equal Masek's total against La Salle for the most by a Red Raider this year.
- Seven innings pitched, 12 strikeouts and 102 pitches all marked season highs.
- Became the first Red Raider to allow just one base hit (min. 7 IP) in a game since Duke von Schamann allowed one hit against Missouri State (2/17) on Opening Day in 2012.
- Struck out at least one batter in six of seven innings pitched.
- Struck out multiple batters in five separate innings (1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th).
- Struck out the side in the first inning, which marked the first by a Red Raider since 2011 when Daniel Coulombe accomplished the feat against Iowa (March 11).
- Struck out four consecutive batters in the fourth and fifth innings to become the first Red Raider to strikeout four straight since 2012 (Coulombe - vs. Northern Illinois).
- His 12 strikeouts equal Trey Masek's for the most by a Red Raider since 2010 when Bobby Doran struck out 16 against Misosuri on May 1 in Lubbock.
- Retired the first seven batters he faced in a row - five coming via strikeout.
- Finished his third start retiring 14 consecutive batters from the 3rd-to-7th inning.
- Left the game after seven innings with the Red Raiders leading 3-0.
RHP JERAD McCRUMMEN (1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 SO)
- Made his team-leading ninth appearance of the season (all relief) and his 57th career appearance.
- His 57 career appearances rank third all-time at Tech among three-year players.
- Posted his fifth scoreless appearance of the season and the 29th of his career.
- Has at least one strikeout in 8-of-9 appearances this season.
RHP NATHAN BAUDER (1.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO)
- Made his fourth appearance of the season (all relief).
- Has made a scoreless appearance in 3-of-4 outings this season.
- Posted one strikeout, giving him at least one strikeout in half of his appearances (2-of-4) this season.
2B BRYANT BURLESON (1-FOR-2, RBI)
- Has reached base safely in 18-of-19 games played this season... reached base with an infield single in the third inning.
RF DEVON CONLEY (1-FOR-4, R)
- Has reached base safely in nine consecutive games while hitting a single in the eighth inning.
DH JARRARD POTEETE (0-FOR-3, R, BB)
- Reached base safely in six consecutive plate appearance streak was snapped in the second inning (pop out to SS).
- Has scored at least one run in five consecutive games... has scored a total of nine runs during that span.
- Has tallied at least one run scored in 10-of-15 games played this season.
SS TIM PROUDFOOT (1-FOR-3, 2 R, RBI)
- Has a five-game hit streak.
- Has at least one RBI in four consecutive games.
C MASON RANDOLPH (4-FOR-4, RBI, R, 2 RBI)
- Has reached base safely in 13 consecutive games.
- Recorded his first four-hit game of the season and the third of his career.
- Became the third Red Raider this season with four hits in a game (Burleson, Bell).
- Notched his third multi-hit game of the season and the eighth of his career.
3B JAKE BARRIOS (1-FOR-3, R, RBI)
- Now has a six-game hit streak.
- Has eight RBI over his last five games played.
LF ZACH DAVIS (0-FOR-3)
- Had reaching base safely in nine consecutive games streak snapped while going 0-for-3 with three strikeouts.
