Lady Raider Shanice Stewart enters the 2014 NCAA Indoor Championships on the heels of a strong season in the long jump and the pentathlon. The sophomore qualified for the national meet in the long jump with a season-best leap of 6.30 (20-8.00) at the Masked Rider Open (1/31) in the pentathlon. The mark ended the 2014 indoor season No. 3 in the Big 12 and No. 10 nationally. Meanwhile it was the No. 4 mark in school history.

Stewart finished fourth in the long jump at the Big 12 Championships and fourth in the pentathlon with 3,836 points. This weekend, she will look to become Tech's first-ever indoor All-American in the long jump.

The San Bernardino Valley College transfer ended the 2014 season No. 22 nationally in the pentathlon with a season-best of 4,000-points. Her 4,000 points at the Masked Rider Open rank fourth in school history.
