Red Raiders Earn Fourth-Straight Top-10 Ranking

The Red Raider track and field team earned its fourth-straight top-10 national ranking Tuesday.

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's track and field team earned its fourth-straight Top-10 ranking today as announced by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Red Raiders moved up one spot to No. 9, while the Lady Raiders enter the week at No. 25 as the program is set to host its second home outdoor meet of the season Saturday at the Terry and Linda Fuller Track and Field Complex. Both the Red Raiders and Lady Raiders have been ranked inside the top-25 for the entirety of the outdoor season.
The Red Raiders and Lady Raiders combined to break five facility records at the West Texas A&M Classic Saturday in Canyon.
Field events at Saturday's Red Raider Open are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. with running events set to begin at 6 p.m. on the track.
The Red Raider Open will be the final regular season home meet before Texas Tech hosts the Big 12 Outdoor Championships May 16-18.
