- Texas Tech will face Oklahoma in an elimination game of Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship on Thursday, May 22 at 12:30 p.m. at Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.
- Dropped to 15-27 all-time in Big 12 Championship play (14th appearance).
- Lost its sixth straight Big 12 Championship opener (2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014).
- Dropped to 2-4 against Texas in Big 12 Championship competition... marked Tech and
