No. 18 Texas Tech Faces ACU in Midland on Tuesday

LEADING OFF
No. 18 Texas Tech (25-15) completes a five-game road swing on Tuesday, April 21 against Abilene Christian (9-28) for its first neutral site game of the season in Midland, Texas at Security Bank Ballpark - home of the Oakland Athletics Double-A affiliate, Midland Rockhounds. It will be Tech's final midweek game away from home this season. It marks the second straight year Tech has played a midweek game in Midland, last season defeating New Mexico (6-3) in front of 5,169 fans. Tech went 3-1 last week with a midweek win at ACU (7-6) and winning its first Big 12 series at K-State (won 2-of-3) since 2009. Tech has won six of its last seven and nine of its last 14 games overall since March 28. Tech plays seven of its final 12 games on the road while closing its home schedule with a five-game homestand beginning Friday, April 24 against No. 9 Oklahoma State (26-13, 10-5 Big 12). ACU has suffered 10 one-run losses on the year, including three straight losses in the midweek verses No. 2 TCU (3-4) and No. 19 Texas Tech (6-7) and at No. 1 Texas A&M (2-3).
