Three Lady Raiders Stay Undefeated at ITA Texas Regionals

Dvorak, Talaba, Federici to play in singles Round of 16, doubles Quarterfinals tomorrow

WACO, Texas – The Texas Tech Women's Tennis team had another successful day at the ITA Texas Regionals as three singles players advanced to the Round of 16 while three doubles teams qualified for the quarterfinals.

The doubles duo of Reagan Collins and Katelyn Jackson upset the no. 18 and top-seeded TCU team of Seda Arantekin and Caroline Wegner, 8-5, to advance to the quarterfinals.

Sarah Dvorak, Gabriela Talaba and Sabrina Federici will play in the Round of 16 tomorrow morning. The doubles teams Dvorak and Federici and Talaba and Alex Valenstein will also begin quarterfinals action tomorrow at 9 a.m.

Freshman Reagan Collins moved to the singles consolation draw and advanced to the Round of 16. She earned a win over SFA's Gabriela Guilarte before earning a bye in the second round. Collins went on to defeat SMU's Sara Jamal in two sets (6-1, 6-0).

Freshman Alba Cortina-Pou will also compete in the singles consolation draw Round of 16 tomorrow morning.
