• Improved the Red Raiders to 40-13 overall, marking their best record through 53 games since going 40-13 during the 1999 season.
• Improved the Red Raiders to 19-4 in Big 12 play, matching their best record through 23 games in school history (1997).
• Improved the Red Raiders to 5-3 in the second game of Big 12 series this season.
• Improved the Red Raiders to 7-4 all-time against West Virginia.

• Improved the Red Raiders to 6-0 this season in two-run games, including a 2-0 mark in Big 12 play.

TEXAS TECH TEAM NOTES
• Texas Tech picked up its 19th conference win of the season, the most for a Big 12 program since Baylor won 20 during the 2012 season.
• Texas Tech clinched its seventh Big 12 series win of the season, its most since the Red Raiders also won seven in 2001 when the Big 12 featured nine league series.
• Texas Tech reached 40 wins for the 13th time in school history and the second time already under Tim Tadlock. The Red Raiders had not recorded a 40-win season since 2004 prior to Tadlock's arrival.
• This is the seventh time in school history where the Red Raiders have recorded 40 wins during the regular season (2016, 2014, 2002, 1996, 1995, 1993, 1991).
• Texas Tech is guaranteed to be the only Big 12 program to record 40 wins during the regular season. • The Red Raiders are now 6-12 this season when being out-hit by their opponent.
• Texas Tech is now a perfect 17-0 this season when holding its opponent to two or less runs.
• The victory marked Texas Tech's third this year and second of the series when trailing after six innings. The Red Raiders were previously 1-9 this season in such situations heading into this weekend.
• Texas Tech held off a West Virginia rally in the ninth to improve to 37-1 this season when leading after eight innings.
• Texas Tech failed to record five runs for just the sixth time over the Red Raiders' last 35 contests.
Tim Tadlock
• Improved to 142-88 at Texas Tech with the win.
• Improved to 577-214 as a collegiate head coach (Grayson J.C., Texas Tech).
• Improved to 55-40 in Big 12 Conference play.
• Improved to 122-3 when leading after eight innings.
• Posted the 56th come-from-behind victory of his tenure.
• Became the first head coach in school history to record multiple 40-win seasons within his first four years leading Texas Tech.
Hunter Hargrove
• Connected on his second home run of the season with a three-run blast in the third inning. He recorded his first home of his career on May 8 with a solo shot at Kansas.
• Has now recorded the game-winning RBI twice this season, both of which that have come in the seventh inning or later.
Robert Dugger
• Picked up his fourth win of the season after tossing 1.2 shutout innings out of the bullpen. He has recorded three wins in Big 12 play alone.
Ryan Moseley
• Recorded his fourth save of the season and seventh of his career after tossing the final 1.1 innings out of the bullpen. His four saves this year mark his most ever in a single season.
Eric Gutierrez
• Recorded his Big 12-leading 50th RBI of the season with a one-out RBI single in the second inning.
• Finished 1-for-3 at the plate, moving him one hit shy of reaching 250 for his career. He is 19 hits shy of tying Josh Bard (1997-99) for second place all-time in the Texas Tech record book.
Cory Raley
• Tied Tanner Gardner for the team high with 21 multi-hit games this season after finishing 2-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored.
Tyler Neslony
• Snapped a 12-game streak of hitting safely in games where he started in left field. He finished 0-for-2 with a walk.
Steven Gingery
• Has now allowed two or fewer runs in eight of his 10 starts this season, seven of which that have come in Big 12 play.
