Four Lady Raiders score double figures against the Mountaineers
Morgantown, W.V. – A 31-19 third quarter wasn't enough for the Lady Raiders as Texas Tech dropped 89-79 at No. 22 West Virginia Wednesday night.

The Mountaineers (16-5, 4-5 Big 12) opened with a 24-8 first quarter. Texas Tech (11-8, 3-5 Big 12) battled back, but trailed WVU 43-24 at the half.

The Lady Raiders came out of intermission firing with a 31-19 third quarter, but it wasn't enough to overpower the Mountaineers in the end. Texas Tech went 5-for-6 from 20-feet in the third quarter alone to make it a 7-point ball game.

Tech didn't let up in the fourth, but West Virginia secured the win, 89-79.

Texas Tech scored a season-best 13 three-pointers, shooting 54.2 percent (13-24) from beyond the arc.

Four Lady Raiders scored double-digit points for the eighth time this season. Senior Ivonne CookTaylor led the team with a season-high 19 points. She went 8-for-12 from the field including a perfect night beyond the arc. Recee' Caldwell followed with 16 points and five assists.

Junior Larryn Brooks added 13 points for the Lady Raiders while junior Jada Terry was one rebound shy of another double-double as she scored 11 points.
