Kapshuk & Sendegeya Wins Spark Men's Tennis at ITA's

Artem Kapshuk and Alex Sendegeya will need two singles wins on Tuesday to qualify for the main draw at the Saint Francis ITA All-American Championships.
Tulsa, Okla. – Artem Kapshuk and Alex Sendegeya picked up three-set singles victories to lead the Texas Tech men's tennis team on day one of qualifying Monday at the Saint Francis ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa.
Sendegeya worked his way to a 6-3, 6-7 (6), 6-3 triumph over No. 89 Antonio Cembellin of Indiana, while Kapshuk took down Ole Miss' Grey Hamilton by a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 decision. Both players will have an opportunity to qualify for the 64-player main draw with a pair of victories on Tuesday.
Kapshuk teamed with Connor Curry for a 6-3, 6-4 doubles win over Utah's Dan Little and David Micevski. The duo was ousted by Billy Griffith and JT Nishimura of California in round two.
