Lady Raiders Host Texas State in Season Opener

Lady Raiders will face Texas State at the United Supermarkets Arena on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball will host Texas State on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the United Supermarkets Arena for the 2017-18 regular season opener.
The Lady Raiders have racked up 11-straight wins in home openers dating back to the 2005-06 season.
Tech enters the regular-season opener coming off a dominating 73-40 win over St. Edwards on Nov. 5. Tech held St. Edward's to single digits in three of the four quarters, holding the Hilltoppers to a field goal percentage of 24.5.
Tech head coach Candi Whitaker will begin her fifth season with the Lady Raiders, coming off back-to-back seasons with at least one win in the Big 12 Championship.

As a reminder, the new clear bag policy is in effect for all Lady Raider Basketball games for the 2017-18 season.
