Despite dropping three in a row, the Red Raiders (14-12, 3-10) aim to return to the win column against a TCU squad they defeated 3-1 in early October for their second conference win of the season. The Red Raiders and Horned Frogs (11-14, 3-10) enter Wednesday tied for seventh in the Big 12 standings.
Â
With the win in October, Tech cut its deficit in the all-time series to two at 9-7. Texas Tech last won at TCU in 2013 and is 2-5 in Fort Worth overall.
Â
The Red Raiders are coming off a tough road loss at West Virginia Saturday. Tech won the first two sets to take a 2-0 lead before falling to the Mountaineers in five. TCU, meanwhile, closed out a 3-2 victory at Kansas State on Saturday.
Â
With a win at TCU, Texas Tech would earn its first season sweep of a Big 12 foe since 2015 and guarantee Tech its first winning season since 2001. A win would also mark Tech's most Big 12 wins (4) since 2006 and its most regular season wins (15) since 2011.
Â
LAST TIME vs. TCU
Sophomore Emily Hill put away 18 kills and recorded 17 digs as Tech earned a 25-21, 23-25, 25-19, 25-21 win. Junior Sarah Redding added 12 at a .400 clip, while junior Katy Keenan finished with 11 on .435 hitting. Tech's .285 team hitting percentage stands as the team's best Big 12 clip since 2015. TCU was paced by middle blocker Anna Walsh, who compiled 18 kills and seven blocks. Outside hitter Allye Beth Deaton added 16 kills and 12 digs for the Horned Frogs.
Â

Â
Sophomore Emily Hill has back-to-back 300-kill seasons and is only four kills from 700 for her career. She recently surpassed 400 career digs and 100 career blocks. Sophomore Chandler Atwood is 22 kills away from 300 for the year.
Â
Junior Missy Owens is 77 assists from back-to-back 1,000 assist seasons. The setter recently topped 100 kills in a season for the first time. Freshman Allison White needs 10 blocks to reach 100 for the season. Additionally, junior Katy Keenan has eclipsed 500 career kills while fellow junior Sarah Redding is seven away from 500.
