Women’s Tennis Earns No. 1 Seed at Blue Gray Nationals

Texas Tech will face Utah on Friday at 12:30 p.m.
LUBBOCK, Texas – After a week off, the No. 5 Texas Tech Women's Tennis team is set to participate in the 69th annual Blue Gray National Tennis Classic this weekend in Montgomery, Ala.
Texas Tech is joined by Alabama, No. 8 Auburn, Denver, No. 47 Texas, Tulane, No. 40 Tulsa, and Utah in the three-day double-elimination tournament.
The Lady Raiders were selected as the No. 1 seed in the tournament and will face the University of Utah on Friday at 12:30 p.m. They will face Alabama or Tulsa in the following match.
The women's tennis team has been a part of this tournament in three of the last four seasons. In 2015, the Lady Raiders fell to No. 8 Alabama, 4-1, in the finals.
