Lady Raiders jump back to the win column with 7-0 victory over South Florida
TAMPA, Fla.  – The Texas Tech Women's Tennis team earned its third win of the season as the Lady Raiders swept South Florida, 7-0, Sunday afternoon.
 
Tech (3-1) opened the match with two 6-0 wins on doubles courts two and three to capture the doubles point for the first time this season.
 
Doubles duo Felicity Maltby and Gabriela Talaba took the first win of the day with a 6-0 win just before #14 Sabrina Federici and Sarah Dvorak sealed the doubles point after winning all six games.
 
Alex Valenstein clinched the first singles point of the match with a 6-2, 6-2 win over USF's Juliana Cardoso. Talaba finished second on court one with a 6-2, 6-2 victory and pushed the Lady Raiders to a 3-0 lead.
 
Maltby's 6-4, 6-2 win over Nicole Dzenga of USF sealed the dual match win for the Lady Raiders. Dvorak was the fourth to finish as she claimed a 6-3, 6-1 win over Olga Martinez.
 
Federici is now 5-1 in singles play on the year with her 6-2, 6-4 victory over Vera Bessonova. She is 3-0 in the No. 5 position.
 
Freshman Alba Cortina-Pou completed the Lady Raiders' sweep after winning her first collegiate dual match. She posted a two-set sweep (6-2, 7-5) over South Florida's Jessica Chaves.
