Women’s Tennis to Face Illinois, Northwestern This Weekend

Lady Raiders continue road swing in Illinois
LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 7 Texas Tech Women's Tennis team wraps up Spring Break with two road matches in Illinois this weekend.
The Lady Raiders (12-3) are set to face two Big Ten opponents in Illinois (4-8) and No. 48 Northwestern (5-6). On Friday, Tech takes on the Fighting Illini for a 2 p.m. match. The Lady Raiders then travel to Evanston, Ill., where they will face the Wildcats on Sunday at 11 a.m.
Texas Tech enters the weekend after a 3-0 week in Kansas. The Lady Raiders defeated Wichita State, 4-2, during a midweek matchup before going 2-0 to open Big 12 play at Kansas State (4-0) and at Kansas (4-2).
Illinois enters the Friday matchup after falling to No. 36 Florida State last week.
Northwestern meets Texas Tech on Sunday after falling to No. 11 Oklahoma State and No. 25 Washington in Seattle, Wash.
The Lady Raiders return to Big 12 play next week at Texas on March 24 before hosting Baylor on March 26.
