No. 9 Women’s Tennis Continues Big 12 Play

Texas Tech to face No. 22 Texas in Austin on Friday, host No. 15 Baylor on Sunday
LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 9 Texas Tech Women's Tennis team is set for Big 12 play this weekend with a road match at Texas on Friday and returning to the McLeod Tennis Center to host No. 15 Baylor on Sunday.
Texas Tech (14-3, 2-0 Big 12) is on a seven-match win streak and is one of three schools to be undefeated after the first weekend of Big 12 play.
Friday's match at Texas (7-5, 1-1 Big 12) will be one of the last road matches for the team. First serve is set for noon and will be played on the indoor Weller Tennis Center courts at the UT Golf Club.
The Longhorns fell to Oklahoma State, 4-0, in the Big 12 season opener before defeating Oklahoma, 4-1, to start the season 1-1 in conference play.
The Lady Raiders begin a five-match homestand on Sunday when they host Baylor (13-4, 1-1 Big 12). First serve is set for 1 p.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center.
The Lady Bears enter the matchup after sweeping No. 20 Texas A&M, 4-0, in Waco on Wednesday.
