Texas Tech looks to carry over momentum from last weekend’s series sweep at Iowa State.

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech softball remains on the road this weekend as it travels to Waco, Texas, for a three-game series at No. 14 Baylor, March 31-April 1, at Getterman Stadium.

Potential weather conditions have compacted the schedule for the weekend. Tech and Baylor have agreed to play a doubleheader Friday with game times tentatively set for 4 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. The series finale is currently slated for Saturday at 1:05 p.m.

FOX Sports Southwest Plus will broadcast Friday's doubleheader, while Saturday's contest can be found on FOX College Sports.

The Red Raiders (16-14, 3-0) opened Big 12 play last weekend with a three-game sweep at Iowa State in which it outscored the Cyclones 28-8. The sweep marked Tech's first Big 12 road sweep since 2015 at Oklahoma State. Tech is currently tied atop the league standing with Oklahoma State heading into the weekend.

Baylor (29-6, 2-1) opened Big 12 play taking two of three from Kansas in Lawrence last weekend. The Lady Bears won the series opener, 6-1, dropped the second game, 4-6 (10), and won the third game 5-1. Baylor also topped Abilene Christian Wednesday in a midweek game, 6-0.

Following this weekend's series, Tech returns home as it hosts Abilene Christian Wednesday, April 5, for a single game before hosting Kansas April 7-9 for a three-game tilt.

The Red Raiders will be looking for its first series victory over the Bears since the 2012 season this weekend as Tech travels to Waco to take on No. 13/14 Baylor. The Bears swept the series against Tech a year ago, improving to 40-15 all-time against the Red Raiders, including a 21-4 advantage in Waco.

The Red Raiders claimed the 2012 series between the two teams, the first to feature three games. Tech won the series opener, 3-1, and then the finale, 6-5, while dropping the middle game, 8-4. Baylor has proceeded to win each of the past four series, taking two-of-three from Tech during the 2013 series in Waco before posting three straight series sweeps against Tech the last three seasons.

Baylor is led by reigning Big 12 Pitcher of the Week Kelsee Selman, who leads the conference with a 1.48 ERA, and senior Lindsey Cargill, who leads the Big 12 in batting at .465 with 19 stolen bases and 26 runs scored.
