October 02, 2018 | Softball
Red Raiders are 2-0 this fall, outscoring opponents 45-2.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech softball continues its fall season Wednesday as it takes on Clarendon College at 4 p.m. at Rocky Johnson Field.
Â
The Red Raiders enter the contest with a 2-0 mark this fall. They topped Odessa College 22-1 in nine innings on Sept. 18 before defeating Midland College 23-1 in seven innings on Sept. 20.
Â
Wednesday will be the third of six home dates for the team during its fall slate, which features 10 total contests. Tech will host the Red & Black Series Oct. 10-12 after traveling to the University of Houston for a four-game tournament this weekend.
Â
"Overall, we are way more talented than we've ever been and have more depth than we've ever had, so that's super exciting for me," head coach Adrian Gregory said. "The competitiveness and the ceiling - I feel like it's very high, and that's the most fun part."
Â
Wednesday's game was added to the schedule after the Red Raiders cancelled their Sept. 26 doubleheader against Howard College due to inclement weather. It is scheduled to be a regular seven-inning game.
