Red Raiders to Close Out Fall Season in Austin

Six players will compete at the Longhorn Invitational this weekend
LUBBOCK, Texas. – The Texas Tech men's tennis team will complete their fall slate at the Longhorn Invitational from Nov. 9-11, hosted by the University of Texas.
Six Red Raiders will represent Tech in Austin, as doubles play is set to begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, while singles play will start at 10:30.
Ilgiz Valiev and Artem Kapshuk will start the day for Tech by facing Rodrigo Banzer and Colin Markes of Texas. Jackson Cobb and Tommy Mylnikov will also get their day started at 9 a.m., as the experienced duo are set to face off with St. Edwards. Justin Bloss and Matheus Leite are set to begin play at 9:45.
In singles play, Tommy Mylnikov and Ilgiz Valiev kick things off at 10:30 a.m., followed by Artem Kapshuk at 11:15. In the afternoon, Justin Bloss will square off with his opponent from Marquette at 12:45, while Jackson Cobb faces the University of Louisville at 1:00. Matheus Leite will complete the first round for the Red Raiders at 1:30 p.m.
Both singles and doubles play will feature consolation draws. The second round of singles play is set to be determined on Friday, while doubles play will resume on Saturday.
