LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Women's Basketball team returns to United Supermarkets Arena on Tuesday as Tech hosts Southern University for the fifth annual Education Day.

EDUCATION DAY
Lady Raider Basketball welcomes more than 8,000 students and chaperones from surrounding area elementary schools for the fifth annual Education Day. United Supermarkets is providing more than 8,000 free boxed lunches for these students and chaperones in attendance.

General fans and season ticket holders are asked to relocate to the reserved area in section 101.

This game will mark the first meeting between Texas Tech and Southern women's basketball programs.
The Lady Raiders enter the midweek matchup on a high after defeating Nevada, 86-67, in the first non-conference true road win in six seasons.
The Jaguars enter the matchup on a one-game skid after falling to TCU, 69-40, on Sunday.
Freshman Chrislyn Carr was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week for her outstanding performance at Nevada.
Carr recorded 35 points and six steals against the Wolf Pack. Of her 35 points, 27 came from beyond the arc.
Carr broke the school record for most 3-pt attempts (21) and tied the school record for most 3-pt makes (9).
