Texas Tech keeps perfect road record with win
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 13 Lady Raider Tennis team dominated in doubles and singles action on their way to a 4-0 sweep over West Virginia Friday afternoon.

With the win, Texas Tech (17-5, 6-2 Big 12) stays perfect (8-0) when playing on the road. West Virginia drops to 7-12, 1-7 Big 12.

It was a battle to the finish in doubles action. Tech's 18th-ranked duo of Sarah Dvorak and Sabrina Federici quickly knocked off Paula Goetz and Lyn Yuen Choo, 6-1, at the no. 1 position. Doubles pair Alex Valenstein and Katelyn Jackson clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 victory over Christina Jordan and Yvon Martinez at the No. 3 position.

Tech captured set one wins on all six courts before No. 20 Gabriela Talaba gave the Lady Raiders a 2-0 lead with her 6-1, 6-3 victory on court one.

On the way to her 15th win of the season, senior Sabrina Federici kept her perfect 4-0 record at the no. 4 position with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Goetz.

Katelyn Jackson sealed the win for the Lady Raiders with her 6-1, 6-1 match clincher on court six over Martinez.
