Lady Raider Basketball Celebrates Outstanding Academic Fall Semester

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team celebrates an outstanding fall semester in the classroom to wrap up 2019. The Lady Raiders turned in a 3.52 team grade point average during the fall term.

The team's 3.52 fall GPA ranked the highest among Texas Tech women's teams this fall. It marks the second-highest semester GPA of all Texas Tech teams.

Additionally, the Lady Raiders boast a team cumulative GPA of 3.49 through the 2019 fall semester.

Ten out of 11 Lady Raiders turned in 3.0 GPA's this semester, led by juniors Lexi Gordon and Sydney Goodson, who both finished the semester with perfect, 4.0 averages. In fact, nine of 11 players finished the term with GPA's of 3.5 or higher.

Other members of the "3.0 Club" included Jada Walton, Alexis Tucker, Chrislyn Carr, Brittany Brewer, Emma Villas-Gomis, Nailah Dillard, Andrayah Adams and Jo'Nah Johnson.
