No. 29 Red Raiders Drop Conference Opener in Austin

Men's tennis to finish regular season road slate in Fort Worth on Sunday
AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 29 ranked Texas Tech men's tennis team fell to No. 3 Texas in Austin on Friday by a score of 7-0.
In doubles play, the Red Raiders battled on all three courts before eventually falling on courts two and three to surrender the initial match point.
Tech continued to fight in singles play, but ultimately dropped their first three matches to give the Longhorns the win. Courts one, three and four would be played out, as No. 99 Parker Wynn was narrowly edged by No. 6 Christian Sigsgaard of Texas in a match-deciding superset.
Bjorn Thomson would also take his match to a decisive third, before ultimately falling by a score of 5-7, 6-4, 0-1.
UP NEXT:
The Red Raiders will have a quick turnaround as they head to Fort Worth to take on the Horned Frogs at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Tech will then return home to the McLeod Tennis Center for a three-game home stand to close out the regular season.
