No. 23 Red Raiders Suffer 5-2 Loss to No. 34 Oklahoma State

Men's tennis drops second home match of season on Friday
LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 23 Texas Tech men's tennis team fell to the No. 34 ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys by a margin of 5-2 at the McLeod Tennis Center on Friday.
The Red Raiders dropped to 13-10 and 5-2 in Lubbock with Friday's loss.
After the match was moved to 1 p.m. to avoid inclement weather in the evening's forecast, Tech began the match by surrendering the doubles point to the Cowboys with losses on courts one and two.
In singles play, Tech would climb back after surrendering their second match point of the day on court three by picking up a win on court two from senior Tommy Mylnikov, who defeated his opponent in straight sets by a score of 6-4, 6-3.
The Red Raiders would surrender another match point before securing another point of their own with a win by Bjorn Thomson, who won his match by a count of 6-2, 4-6, 7-6(4). With the match at 3-2, Tech game close to squaring the match up as No. 94 Parker Wynn battled his No. 84 ranked opponent tooth-and-nail to three sets. The match would eventually be won by the Cowboys in a third-set tiebreaker, as they took the overall 4-2 advantage.
Tech will return to the McLeod Tennis Center on Sunday, April 6th as they take on No. 17 Oklahoma. First serve is set for 1 p.m. CT.
