Four Former Red Raiders Set For NBA Summer League

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech will be represented by four players in this year's NBA Summer League in Las Vegas with Keenan Evans (Memphis), Zhaire Smith (Philadelphia), Jarrett Culver (Minnesota) and Matt Mooney (Atlanta) set to compete.
Evans, who is with the Memphis Grizzlies summer league team, started summer league action at the Salt Lake City site and led the team with 20 points in a win over Cleveland on Wednesday. Evans and the Grizzlies will play their first game in Las Vegas at 6 p.m. (CST) on Saturday against Indiana. Smith, who was selected No. 16 in last year's NBA Draft, will lead the Philadelphia 76ers who open summer league action at 2:30 p.m. on Friday in a game against Milwaukee that will be on ESPN2. Smith and the 76ers will play Boston on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on ESPN.
Culver was picked No. 6 by the Phoenix Suns in this year's NBA Draft, but was acquired by Minnesota in a Draft-night trade. Culver will officially join the Minnesota organization on July 6 and will compete in the summer league. Mooney went undrafted, but was picked up by the Atlanta Hawks on draft night to play on their summer league team. Mooney and the Hawks open action in Vegas against Milwaukee at 4 p.m. on Saturday on NBA TV before playing Culver and the Timberwolves at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday on ESPN2.
