Cobb and Ribero Secure Second Place in Midland

Men's tennis concludes first tournament of 2019-20 season with seven total wins
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech men's tennis team wrapped up play at the Midland Racquet Club Collegiate Tennis Classic on Sunday with a runner-up finish in men's doubles by Jackson Cobb and Franco Ribero.
Cobb and Ribero began reached the final match after defeating Jeff Guerrero and Jaycer Lyeons of Tyler Junior college by a tally of 8-6 in Saturday's semifinal match before eventually falling to Texas A&M, 6-8, on Sunday.
Sunday's silver-medal finish caps off a successful weekend for both Red Raider tennis programs, which saw women's tennis sweep both the doubles and singles titles in Midland.
Tech men's tennis will return to action on Sept. 20 at the annual Battle in the Bay tournament in San Francisco.
