Lady Raiders Picked Sixth in Big 12 Preseason Poll

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team was picked sixth in the Big 12 Preseason Poll, the conference announced on Thursday. The selection is the program's highest in the preseason poll since the 2011-12 season.

The poll was voted on by the league's head coaches.

Second-place Texas received the other first-place vote, while Iowa State was picked third. K-State and West Virginia rounded out the top five. Texas Tech was selected sixth, while Oklahoma was seventh and Oklahoma State was eighth, followed by TCU and Kansas.

Yesterday, Lady Raiders Chrislyn Carr and Vivian Gray were named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team. Gray was named to the first team, while Carr earned honorable mention honors.
