Lady Raider Basketball to Host Virtual Tipoff Event Nov. 19

LUBBOCK, Texas – The 2020-2021 Lady Raider Basketball season will officially begin Nov. 19 as the Red Raider Club invites fans from across the globe to attend the Lady Raider Virtual Tip-Off Event, headlined by first year head coach Krista Gerlich.Â
In addition to both head coaches, fans will hear from Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt, several current Lady Raider basketball student-athletes. In addition, fans will also be able to bid on exciting auction items such as, but not limited to, a Lady Raider Basketball Game VIP Experience, a Coach Gerlich autographed basketball and official program gear.

Lady Raider fans will be able to tune into the event via @TechAthletics on Twitter or on Facebook, YouTube or ESPN - Plus/Big 12 Now. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and will be available free of charge.

The virtual event replaces the preseason annual Tip-Off Event, which annually produces record crowds of Texas Tech Basketball supporters. The in-person event will not take place this year out of concern for COVID-19.
