Red Raiders Fall Short in Senior Day Match versus TCU

LUBBOCK, Texas – No. 21 Texas Tech men's tennis (12-5, 1-3) fell to No. 6 TCU Horned Frogs on Friday, 4-1, in front of a raucous crowd at the McLeod Tennis Center. Prior the match Tech recognized seniors Parker Wynn and Justin Bloss for their contributions as Red Raiders.
The Red Raiders fed off the boisterous crowd and battled the Horned Frogs deep into the set for the doubles point. Despite their efforts, Tech could not clinch the doubles point and fell behind 1-0.
Singles play was highlighted by the aggressive play of junior Dimitrios Azoidis, who played to a 6-3, 6-3 victory over TCU's Tadeas Paroulek to even the match score. Despite the valiant efforts on the remaining five courts, Tech was not able to secure any additional points, and dropped the match to TCU.
UP NEXT: The Red Raiders will play their final regular season match versus the No. 7 Texas Longhorns at the McLeod Tennis Center on Sunday at 11 a.m.
