LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raiders return to action Saturday afternoon when the 25th-ranked Kansas State Wildcats visit United Supermarkets Arena for a 2 p.m. contest.

The Lady Raiders (8-7, 1-3 Big 12) dropped a tough 64-53 contest at West Virginia Wednesday night. After being limited to 22 first half points, Tech exploded for 24 in the third quarter to take a 46-45 lead at the end of three periods.
In the fourth, Tech took a 48-45 lead on a Khadija Faye layup with 8:44 to play, WVU used a 15-2 to take a 60-50 with 51 ticks to play.
Senior All-American Vivian Gray scored a game-high 16 points, while Lexy Hightower added 11 points.

Featuring projected Big 12 Conference Player of the Year Ayoka Lee, Kansas State enters Saturday's matchup ranked No. 25 in the most recent AP poll. The Cats are currently 3-1 overall in Big 12 play after falling 73-70 to No. 9 Iowa State Tuesday.
In that game, Lee scored 38 points in 35 minutes of action. Lee was 18-of-29 from the field and added 11 rebounds. Lee is now averaging a Big-12 best 24.2 points from 10.8 rebounds. Lee is shooting 59 percent from the field and 73 percent from the line. She has scored at least 10 points in every game this season and has six 30+ point games.
K-State's lone other player that averages in double-figures is guard Serena Sundell. Sundell is averaging 10.3 points a game, and has made a team-best 29 triples. A candidate for Big 12 Freshman of the Year, Sundell has three 20-point games this season.
All three Kansas State's losses have occurred against Top-10 teams. The Wildcats dropped a 65-44 decision at No. 1 South Carolina, and also fell to No. 4 NC State, 90-69. K-State's third loss of the year was Tuesday night (73-70) to No. 9 Iowa State. In that game the Wildcats led 35-24 at the break, but ISU outscored K-State 49-35 in the second half.
