TCU up next for the Red Raiders

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Red Raiders (13-3, 2-1 Big 12) are heading to Fort Worth this weekend for a Saturday match against the TCU Horned Frogs (7-8, 2-2 Big 12) at Schollmaier Arena at 6 p.m.
The Red Raiders are coming off a split week after sweeping Kansas State and dropping their match against No. 1 Texas on Sunday.
In that match, the Red Raider faithful broke the program attendance record previously set in 2002 with 6,037 fans in the audience. Not only does this rank 26th in the nation in attendance, but it is also the most fans in a match this season among all Big 12 teams.
As a team, the Red Raiders are close to 800 kills with 797, while also posting 730 assists, 902 digs, 83 aces and 140 blocks. Kenna Sauer continues to lead the team with 265.5 points and 240 kills, which ranks 27th nationally. Reese Rhodes totals a team-high 592 assists and sits at 36th in the country in assists.
Maddie O'Brien picked up another ace in the Texas match, pushing her total to a team-leading 31 aces, which is tied for 13th nationally. Defensively, Maddie Correa still leads with 225 digs and Brooke Kanas has a team-high 56.0 blocks.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Texas Tech holds an all-time 14-12 record against the TCU Horned Frogs, winning the last three meetings dating back to Oct. 9, 2020. TCU has seven wins on the season and two in the Big 12 so far. Their wins came against Charleston, Coastal Carolina, Indiana, Alabama, Iowa State and West Virginia. The Horned Frogs came back from behind in their last two matches against conference foes. Iowa State led 1-0 before TCU won the next three sets, then TCU was down 2-1 to WVU before winning in five.
TCU totals 722 kills, 645 assists, 67 aces, 684 digs and 126.5 blocks. Offensively, Audrey Nalls (187) and Julia Adams (186) are neck-and-neck in kills, while Callie Williams tallies a team-high 459 assists. Defensively, Keagan Polk (124), Williams (111) and Nalls (108) lead in digs and Mykayla Myers leads with 45.0 blocks.
