Tech completes day at ACU and Drake Relays

The Red Raiders start their home meet tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. with the discus

LUBBOCK, Texas – A pair of distance runners wrapped up their day at the Drake Relays, while a handful of throwers competed at ACU Thursday evening.

Halena Rahmaan and Edward Rush represented Texas Tech at the Drake Relays in the 5k race. Rahmaan finished 15^thwith a time of 16:49.73 as Rush placed 27^th with a time of 14:53.69.

Over in Abilene for the Oliver Jackson Twilight, Malin Smith finished second in the discus with a throw of 52.96m (173-09). On the men's side, Gabe Oladipo also finished second at 56.13m (184-02). Jacob Mechler (52.27m,171-06) and Konner Wood (50.19m, 164-08) finished fifth and eighth, respectively.
