LUBBOCK, Texas – After picking up a win at home Thursday, Texas Tech hits the road for a Sunday matinee matchup with North Texas.

The Red Raiders (2-2-3) will look to string together wins for the first time this season as they take on in-state foe North Texas.

Powered by goals from Peyton Parsons, Macy Schultz and Ashleigh Williams, Tech doubled its goal total in the 3-0 win over Houston Thursday.

Scouting the Mean Green
After starting the season with four straight victories, North Texas (4-2-1) has stumbled recently, losing two of its last three. After allowing just two goals over the first four matches, the Mean Green has conceded eight goals over the last three matches. However, on the offensive end, North Texas averages three goals per contest.

Madison White enters the season ranked fourth in Tech's career goals against record (0.89), third in career shutouts (21) and seventh in career saves (154).
The Red Raiders boast a young roster with the addition of 10 freshmen. Freshman Kylie Bahr is the only freshmen to have started every games so far this season while freshman Peyton Parsons has split starts with junior Jillian Martinez in the midfield.
This season's captains are super senior Charlotte Teeter and fourth-year senior Hannah Anderson. Teeter opened up her last season as a Red Raider with a goal in the opener against Troy.
The Red Raider backline and goalie Madison White have been the highlight of the season thus far. Tech has allowed just three goals this season and recorded four shutouts.
Excluding the 2020 conference only season due to COVID-19, Tech has recorded at least three shutouts through the opening six games in five straight seasons, dating back to 2017.
With just two matches to go before Big 12 play begins, Texas Tech ranks second in the conference averaging 6.67 corner kicks, first in goals-against average (.430), third in save percentage (.842) and second in shutout percentage (.571).
Individually, Madison White ranks first in the league in goalie minutes plater (639:00), first in goals-against average (0.429), third in save percentage (0.824) and first in shutouts (4).
Texas Tech has taken 46 more shots than its opponents. On average, Tech is holding opponents to 5.6 shots per contest while firing off 12.1 shots.
