
Kansas State up next for Red Raiders

LUBBOCK, Texas – Finally back at home, the Texas Tech volleyball team welcomes the Kansas State Wildcats (9-5, 0-1 Big 12) to the United Supermarkets Arena on Wednesday at 6 p.m. for their second conference matchup of the season.
The Red Raiders (12-2, 1-0 Big 12) are coming off an exciting, come-from-behind win against the West Virginia Mountaineers. Tech dropped the first two sets but were able to rally back and reverse sweep WVU, 3-2, for their first conference victory. In the match, freshman Ellie Baumert had a career day after dishing out 32 assists, while Kenna Sauer posted her seventh double-double of the season.
As a team, the Red Raiders total 717 kills (13.5 k/s), 654 assists, 77 aces, 797 digs and 126.0 blocks. Sauer leads the team with 212 kills and 234.0 points, while Reese Rhodes posts a team-high 528 assists. Maddie O'Brien's 28 aces lead the Red Raiders and Maddie Correa tallies a team-high 218 digs. Brooke Kanas also leads the team in two categories – hitting percentage (.360) and blocks (50.0).
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Kansas State holds a 9-5 record this season, starting 0-1 in Big 12 with a five-set loss to Kansas. The Wildcats boast wins over NC State, Syracuse and Missouri, while having close losses to ranked teams such as Rice, UCF, Kansas and Creighton.
As a team, Kansas State totals 689 kills (12.8 k/s), 634 assists, 103 aces, 751 digs and 148.5 blocks. Offensively, there are four Wildcats who have over 100 kills on the season – Elena Baka (152), Aliyah Carter (126), Shaylee Myers (119) and Sydney Bolding (101).
Loren Hinkle leads the team with 448 assists and Baka has a team-high 24 aces. Defensively, Mackenzie Morris tallies 236 digs, while Baka collected 131 more. In addition, Bolding has a team-high 68.0 blocks.

Tickets to the match can be purchased here. Texas Tech is also running a promotion for all TTU staff and faculty, where all staff and faculty receive $1 tickets when they show their Raider IDs.
Gates are set to open one hour prior to the match and the clear bag policy is in effect. Fans can head to the ticket office of the NW entrance starting one hour before the first match to purchase tickets at the event.
