PREVIEW: Texas Tech closes out road swing against Saint Mary’s

MORAGA, Calif. – Texas Tech closes out its three-game road swing against Saint Mary's Sunday at Saint Mary's Stadium.
Due to the threat of high heat in the Bay Area, the match originally slated for 2 p.m. (12 p.m. PT) has been moved to 1 p.m. (11 a.m. PT) as the Saint Mary's men's soccer team will play directly following the women's match.
Texas Tech (1-2-2) looks to bounce back after a 1-0 loss Thursday against Washington. In the loss, keeper Madison White recorded a season-high seven saves.
Scouting the Gaels
After a tough 2-0 defeat to the Cal Bears at home, Saint Mary's bounced back by beating San Jose State 3-0 in their first away game of the season.
Emily Jensen paced the way in the Gaels win over San Jose State, notching two goals and an assist.

- White enters the season ranked fifth in Tech's career goals against record (0.93), fourth in career shutouts (19) and seventh in career saves (152).
- The Red Raiders boast a young roster with the addition of 10 freshmen. Freshman Kylie Bahr is the only freshmen to have started every games so far this season. Freshman Peyton Parsons has now made back-to-back starts against New Mexico and Cal State Fullerton.
- Bahr also etched her name into the Texas Tech Soccer beep test record. The freshman broke a 15-year-old fitness test record.
- This season's captains are super senior Charlotte Teeter and fourth-year senior Hannah Anderson. Teeter opened up her last season as a Red Raider with a goal in the opener against Troy.
- The Red Raider backline and goalie Madison White have been the highlight of the season thus far. Tech has allowed just three goals this season and recorded a pair of shutouts.
