COACH SPEAK (HC KRISTA GERLICH):
"The Moody Center is a beautiful arena and tonight was a fantastic atmosphere. Our kids fought really hard and never quit. We certainly could have quit at one point the second half and we certainly did not. But I would never expect that from this group. Texas is a really good basketball team and they dominate the boards really well. We knew that was going to be an issue for us. And that was the difference in the game, the presence they had on the glass. Secondly, we turned the basketball over too much. Particularly in the first half. We were on our heels and didn't do a good job of keeping our composure and sticking to our offensive gameplan. But again, our kids made some good adjustments in the second half and found a way to extend the game at least."
