No. 3 MGOLF Ready for Valspar Collegiate

The two-day event features six top-10 teams and three top-five teams
PALM CITY, Fla. – The No. 3 ranked Texas Tech men's golf program returns from a nearly three week hiatus this week when they head to the Valspar Collegiate hosted by the University of Houston at Floridian National.
The 16-team field features eight top-20 teams, six top-10 teams and three members of the top-five in the most recent GolfStat rankings.
The action begins on Monday with 36 holes before wrapping up Tuesday with the third and final round.
Tech is paired with No. 2 Arizona State, No. 4 UNC and host Houston. The Red Raiders will tee off from holes 1-4 for the 7 a.m. (CT) shotgun start Monday morning.

Texas Tech finished at +2 overall after firing a team score of 287 (+3) Tuesday, while Comegys ended up tied for eighth for his first career top-10 finish.
No. 1 Vanderbilt cruised to a 12-shot lead after finishing -18 overall. Ole Miss finished second at -6 overall followed by No. 3 Arizona State (-1).
Tech finished fourth, followed by No. 9 FSU (+8), No. 23 Baylor (+19), No. 19 Arizona (+19), No. 4 Stanford (+21) and Arkansas (+21).
Houston (+25) finished 10th followed by No. 14 Tennessee (+26), No. 18 Oklahoma State (+26), No. 17 Alabama (+42), Rice (+65) and Abilene Christian (+69).
Vandy's Wells Williams finished at -10 overall to take home individual medalist honors by five shots.
