Tech WGOLF finishes fourth at Bruzzy

Tech was led by junior Gala Dumez who finished tied for seventh
ARDMORE, Okla. – Powered by a top-10 finish from junior Gala Dumez, the Texas Tech women's golf program finished fourth at the Bruzzy Challenge hosted by the University of North Texas at Dornick Hills.
Dumez climbed from a tie for 10th into the tie for seventh after shooting 73 on Sunday.
Freshman Lauren Zaretsky finished with the second-best score for Tech. Zaretsky fired a one-over round of 71 on Sunday to end up 10th. Classmate Shannon Tan shot the low round of the day, when she closed out the final round 69.
North Texas held off a late charge from Tulsa to win by two shot. The Mean Green ended up at +16 for the week.
Purdue finished at +28 to take home third followed by the Red Raiders (+29).
Nebraska finished 15 shots behind Tech at +44, while Houston took home seventh finishing at +51. Kansas State (+53), TCU (+54) and Missouri (+55) finished seventh through 10th.
Wisconsin (+56), Charlotte (+57), Western Kentucky (+58), Oklahoma (+63) and Miami (+79) rounded out the 15-team field.
Lilly Thomas of Tulsa fired back-to-back rounds of 68 to win individual medalist honors.
