WGOLF heads west for first Big 12 Match Play

Tech will play three pool play matches before the field is split into two brackets for the semis and final
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Texas Tech women's golf program heads west this weekend for the inaugural Big 12 Match Play Event hosted by the Big 12 Conference at Kierland Golf Club in Scottsdale.
The three-day event begins on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. (CT) when Tech will clash with second-seeded Baylor and No. 8 seed Oklahoma. On Friday afternoon (3 p.m.), Tech will face No. 3 Iowa State and No. 7 Kansas, before closing pool play on Saturday morning (9:30 a.m.) against No. 4 Oklahoma State and No. 6 TCU.
Following the three round-robin matches, the top-four finishers will advance to the Championship Bracket while teams that finished five through eight will be placed in the Consolation Bracket. The team that finishes ninth will be done for the weekend.
Both the Championship and Consolation Bracket Semifinals will be played on Saturday at 3 p.m., with the finals and third place matches scheduled for Sunday morning.
