Ruta Lasmane has earned three-straight 1st Team All-American honors in the triple jump

AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Tech women's track and field team closed out the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships highlighted by Ruta Lasmane claiming the bronze medal in the triple jump.

Lasmane's third jump of 14.21m (46-7 ½) (+2.6w) put her 3^rd in the competition as she earned her third-straight First Team All-American honor. In 2022, Lasmane also finished 3^rd in the triple jump. Meanwhile, Anne-Suzanna Fosther-Katta placed 7^th with a mark of 13.66m (44-9 ¾) (+2.2w) in her first NCAA outdoor meet. Despite the wind being over the allowable legal limit, each Red Raider earned an all-conditions PB outdoors.

Over in the sprints, Rosemary Chukwuma capped off her 2023 season with a second-straight First Team All-American honor. Chukwuma finished 6^th in the 100m with a time of 11.03 (+2.3w) – the 5^th-fastest wind-aided time in Tech history.
