Kash named second-team All-American by CBF

LUBBOCK, Texas – The College Baseball Foundation tabbed Texas Tech sophomore Gavin Kash a second-team All-American, the organization announced on Thursday. It is the fourth annual All-American team named by the CBF award committee.
Kash, a unanimous first-team All-Big 12 selection, wrapped his first season with the Red Raiders as the Big 12 leader in home runs (26), RBI (84), and total bases (182). He also ranked in the league's top three in hits (86), runs scored (67) and slugging percentage (.689). The everyday first baseman started all 64 games of the Red Raiders' 2023 season.
The slugger etched his name in the Texas Tech record book by having the second-most home runs in a single season. He also entered the program's all-time Top 10 for total bases (fifth) and RBI (sixth).
Earlier this month, Kash earned a first-team all-region nod from the American Baseball Coaches Association shortly after the conclusion of Texas Tech's season. Kash wrapped up his standout season by being named to the Gainesville Regional All-Tournament team following the Red Raiders Regional Championship Game appearance.
