LUBBOCK, TX – The seven Red Raider alums on active 53-man rosters plus Sam Eguavoen who was pulled up from the Jets practice squad prior to Sunday's game, went 6-2 in week two of the NFL season. Three of the eight players started.

Jordyn Brooks – LB, Seattle Seahawks (2016-19)
Brooks was yet again had an outstanding performance recording 11 tackles, six of which were unassisted, in his second start of the season. The Seahawks beat the Lions 37-31 improving their record to 1-1.

Sam Eguavoen – LB, New York Jets (2011-14)
For the second time this season, Eguavoen was pulled up from the Jets practice squad to participate in a game. Eguavoen saw the field for 24 plays, five coming from defense and 19 plays on special teams. The Jets lost to the Cowboys 30-10 making their record 1-1.

Erik Ezukanma – WR, Miami Dolphins (2019-21)
Ezukanma had three carries on the night recording five yards. Ezukanma saw the field for 12 different plays. The Dolphins defeated the Patriots 24-17, improving their record to 2-0.

Kerry Hyder – DL, San Francisco 49ers (2009-13)
Hyder saw action in 13 defensive plays and five special teams plays in the 49ers' victory over the Rams. The 49ers improved their record to 2-0.

Patrick Mahomes II – QB, Kansas City Chiefs (2014-16)
Mahomes led the Chiefs to a close victory over the Jaguars. Mahomes threw for 305 yards, completing 29 passes while tossing two touchdowns. Mahomes also rushed for 30 yards. The Chiefs improved their record to 1-1.

Terence Steele – OL, Dallas Cowboys (2016-19)
Starting at right tackle, Steele participated in 100 percent of the offensive plays (87). He also saw action on four special teams plays. The Cowboys beat the Jets 30-10, improving their record to 2-0.

Broderick Washington Jr. – DL, Baltimore Ravens (2016-19)
Washington was featured in 22 of the defensive snaps and four special teams snaps. The Ravens beat the Bengals 37-34 and they improved to 2-0.

Tyree Wilson – DE, Las Vegas Raiders (2020-22)
Rookie Wilson recorded two tackles in the loss against the Bills. He had one solo tackle and one assisted tackle on the day. The Raiders lost to the Bills 38-10 making their record 1-1.

Sept. 5: WR Antoine Wesley was released from the Las Vegas Raiders' practice squad.
Sept. 11: The New York Jets announced less than four hours prior to kickoff on Monday night that LB Sam Egauvoen had been elevated from the practice squad and onto its Monday night roster. He will return to the practice squad unless announced otherwise by the organization.
Sept. 12: The Indianapolis Colts announced it signed OL Jack Anderson to its practice squad. Two days later it was announced he would be designated to the practice squad injured list.
Sept 16: The New York Jets announced on Saturday that LB Sam Egauvoen had been elevated from the practice squad and onto its game day roster to take on the Cowboys. It was his second elevation in as many weeks. He will return to the practice squad unless announced otherwise by the organization. Each practice-squad player can be elevated for a maximum of three regular-season games in the same league year. After this, any subsequent elevation of the player will require the team to add him to their 53-man Active/Inactive list.
