Wallin achieves career high singles ranking

LUBBOCK, Texas – Senior Olle Wallin posted the highest singles ranking of his career after checking in at No. 30 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Preseason Rankings on Tuesday morning.
The Halmstad, Sweden native was a force at the top spot of the lineup last year, posting a 15-7 overall record and 13-6 record at court one. Picking up a team-leading nine ranked wins in singles, Wallin was awarded with a selection into the NCAA Singles Tournament, the first Red Raider to do so since 2017.
Going 2-2 in conference play, Wallin was named All-Big 12 First Team Singles and was recognized as the Big 12 Player of the Week award on March 14. Wallin helped the Red Raiders to their 19th overall NCAA Tournament appearance and to a 14-win season in 2023.
Tech begins its season at the Midland Racquet Club Invitational this weekend before heading to Winston-Salem, N.C., on Sept. 15-17 for the Wake Forest Hidden Duals tournament.
