A native of Great Britain, Pilling joins Tech after a decorated youth and international career
LUBBOCK, Texas – A veteran of caps for Team England and Team Wales and after a decorated club career that included stops with Man City and Blackburn, goalkeeper Grace Pilling has signed her National Letter of Intent (NLI) and will join the Red Raider Soccer program as a true freshman ahead of the 2024 season.
The native of Preston, Great Britain is no stranger to play high level soccer, as Pilling played five seasons for the now disbanded Manchester City U14, U16 and U19 squads where she helped lead City to the FA Youth Cup 2022 finals. After the disbanment of the Man City youth program, Pilling took her talents to the Blackburn Rovers Ladies U21 squad in 2023.
Â
In addition to her strong play on the club soccer scene in Europe and England, Pilling also has earned caps for the England U17 team as well as the Wales U19 squad.
Â
A graduate of the Rossall School, Pilling played for coach Joey Newsom and helped lead Rossall to back-to-back U18 Independent School National Championships in 2022 and 2023.
