Tech travels to Hobbs for NMJC Invite No. 3

This will be the final meet in New Mexico for Tech this season
LUBBOCK, Texas – Select members of the Texas Tech women's cross country team will travel down the road to Hobbs, N.M., for the NMJC Invite No. 3 Friday morning at Harry McAdams Park.
The women's 5k race will begin at 10 a.m. CT – live results will not be available.
Tech runners on the roster expected to make the trip include Valeria Banuelos, Adele Clarke, Lila Crowley, Ryan Halliburton, Melanie Jacobs, Shannon Quinn, Riley Ries, Edna Rotich, Peyton Wagner and Sarah Zdansky.
The Red Raiders are coming off a week in which saw some national attention come their way. Ernest Cheruiyot won the prestigious Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational 8k race as he earned National Athlete of the Week honors while also being named the Big 12 Runner of the Week for the second time this year. Over on the women's side, Juliet Cherubet finished as the runner-up in the event.
Next week, Tech travels to College Station for the annual Arturo Barrios as it marks the final regular season meet of the season before the Big 12 Championships on Nov. 1 hosted by Baylor
