Red Raiders set for ITA Texas Regionals

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Red Raiders travel to Waco, Texas to compete at the ITA Texas Regional tournament hosted by the Baylor Bears on Oct. 17-22. The eight Red Raiders heading to regionals are Sebastian Abboud, Niksa Arsic, Lorenzo Esquici, Brody Nejedly-Krall, Felipe Pagnacco, Piotr Pawlak, Takeyasu Sekiguchi and Tyler Stewart.
Texas Tech is coming off the Big 12/SEC Challenge tournament where the Big 12 won with 48 wins to the SEC's 42. The Red Raiders posted six wins at the competition, led by both Stewart and Arsic who totaled three wins each. In addition, Stewart added a ranked win in singles after taking down No. 118 Matias Ponce De Leon of Alabama in straight-sets, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (6).
Two singles players and one doubles team will qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships in November – the two singles finalists and the doubles champions.
