Tech to play final matches outside Texas

The Red Raiders will face Cincinnati and West Virginia this week before remaining in the Lone Star state
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech volleyball (9-10, 1-6) will head to Cincinnati to face the Bearcats (11-7, 2-5) on Thursday at 5 p.m. CT and then make the drive to West Virginia to take on the Mountaineers (7-11, 1-6) on Saturday at 11 am CT.
The Red Raiders are 17-9 all-time against West Virginia, including two wins over them last season. Cincinnati and Tech faced off for the first time ever last year as they joined the Big 12, with the Bearcats taking that match.

PREVIOUSLY ON TEXAS TECH VOLLEYBALL:
The Red Raiders faced their fourth ranked opponent of the season in No. 18 TCU last week before going to Ames to face the Cyclones. Tech dropped both matches in straight sets, but again played close sets.
Aliyah McDonald shined in both games, hitting .833 against the Horned Frogs and then totaling a team-high eight kills and 10.5 points on .538 hitting against Iowa State.
Hanna Borer eclipsed 2,000 career assists against Iowa State and Maddie Correa climbed up to ninth all time in program history for career digs with 1,219.

NOTABLES:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Tech will play in its fifth and sixth Big 12 road matches this week and will have played six of its first nine conference matches on the road. Overall, Tech will have played 15 of its 21 matches on the road after this week.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Mia Wesley is one of just three active players to reach 200 aces and 1,800 kills for a career.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The Red Raiders are 3rd in the Big 12 and 46th in the country in digs per set (16.1).
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Aliyah McDonald and Maddie Correa rank top 10 in the Big 12 for blocks and digs, respectively.
