Jones keeps his spot on The Bowerman Watch List

Jones will gear up next week to run in the Big 12 Outdoor Championships
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Senior sprinter and NCAA champion Terrence Jones remained on The Bowerman Watch List update No. 5, the organization announced Wednesday afternoon.

Jones played a vital key in leading Tech to the 2024 NCAA Indoor title in March as he claimed the 60m and 200m national titles – he won the 60m title for a second-straight year.

He has yet to compete individually this outdoor season with his last competition coming at the Texas Relays (May 29-30) where he ran in the prelims and finals of Tech's 4x100 relay team.

The Red Raiders will leave for Waco next Tuesday for the 2024 Big 12 Outdoor Championships taking place Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium. Last season, Jones anchored the 4x100 team to a meet record win of 38.24 before placing second in the 100m (10.08) and 200m (20.32).

On the men's side, Tech will be looking for their second-straight outdoor conference title, while the women's team will be in pursuit of their first team title.
