Â
What do you love most about basketball?
"The consistency of it. I feel like every gives you an opportunity. Even though something different happens each day, the opportunity to become better is always there. I love seeing the improvement you can make when you take it seriously and work hard. Being in the same gym and on the same team as a bunch of guys who love the game the same way is incredible."
Â
What's something personal that would surprise people about you?
"It might surprise people just how dedicated I am to basketball. On and off the court. I'm always working on my game, always watching the game. Always thinking about it."
Â
Name your top musical artists?
"Gunna. Big Yavo."
Â
What are you most proud of about being from Oklahoma City?
"Being able to come from a place that not many people have. Very few guys have played at this level from where I'm from. It takes work to succeed."
Â
Who do you think is the best basketball player ever?
"My G.O.A.T. is Michael Jordan. Gotta believe in myself too. I feel like I'm the best."
Â
What have you learned about yourself through the game?
"That I'm my biggest fan and biggest enemy. Basketball has exterior factors for sure, but it's taught me to fight through the thoughts in your own head to succeed."
Â
Is there a pro player you see shades of yourself in?
"From pace and finesse, making plays, Paul George. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is on another level, but pace-wise I can see myself in him some."
Â
What's a non-basketball skill you take pride in?
"I can draw. I've been getting better at it lately. I drew a tree with a lot of details. I get bored and draw."
Â
Who do you look up to?
"My mother and father. They have always supported me. I've seen their paths and feel proud to be their son. You got to give back to your parents and that's what I'm working to do."
Â
Nickname?
"K.O."
Â
Favorite movie?
"Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. It's wild."
Â
Where would you go on vacation?
"I've never been to California. Got to get to Cali sometime soon."
Â
What drives you?
"Seeing your work show. The off-season moves fast so getting in here with a purpose everyday understanding that what we're doing will affect games. It pays off. I'm building trust within myself and my teammates for when we are on the court together during the season."
