Red Raiders and Eagles have defensive battle in three-set match
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Red Raiders were unable to spoil the Eagles home opener as Boston College took a 3-0 victory on Friday night thanks to 14 total blocks.
Sets one and three were decided by just four and three points respectively as both teams traded runs before Boston College clinched the sets.
Mia Wesley again led the team in kills with 14. Aliyah McDonald and Brynn Williams both finished with four blocks while Abby Dickinson racked up 14 digs.
Julia Haggerty led Boston College as she finished with nine blocks while Halle Schroder finished with 12 kills and 11 digs.
Hanna Borer, an ACC transfer, finished with a game-high 22 assists and also finished with eight blocks.
